ELTHAM FIRE BRIGADE DANCE.
Success crowned the efforts of the Eltham fire brigade on Monday when the energetic members directed their services in another direction, that of being hosts at their annual social function. The town hall was well filled with a cheerful crowd of dancers for the occasion and the efforts of tile committee in looking after the welfare of their guests were untiring. The masters ofceremonies were Firemen L. Nees, H. Potts, L. Julian, M. Ritter and S. McNab. Vinsen’s Ambassadors’ orchestra supplied the music, while supper ‘extras were contributed by Mesdames A. Bees- 1 ley and M. Attrill and Mr. R. Velvin. The • supper committee was Mesdames D. Gyde, A. Lethbridge, W. Thorhill, L. ■Nees, L. Phillips, Misses L. Phillips and F. Taylor. A notable feature of the. entertainment was the large number of ’ visiting fireman and their wives who. had come from all parts of Taranaki for the i function. ’
