“In the year 190.’ the Government offered a bonus to a total of £lOOO for encouragement of the manufacture of condensed milk in New Zealand. Messrs. W. T. Murray and Co., Ltd., Auckland, and Invercargill, were the only firm to qualify, the total payments to them amounting to approximately £600,” stated Mr. W. M. Singleton, director of the Dairy Division.
