Records seem to make it clear that some form of churn for making butter was used by early tribes in Africa, Asia and Europe. It'was not used by th*' Mongolian races in China and Japan until later years, nor is there any tractf of its use by- the inhabitants of northers regions, where the climate was too severe for cattle-raising.
