At a meeting of the Devon Agricultural Committee at Exeter (England) it was decided that the minimum wage of adult male farm workers in Devon will during the six months commencing September 29 be raised from 31s to 32s weekly. Female minimum wages will remain at 6d per hour for women over 21, and. overtime rate for men will be the same at BJd per hour on week-days, and lOd Sundays, with a minimum of lOd during harvesting.
