DISPUTE COULD BE SETTLED
ANGLO-IRISH DIFFERENCES. NEW NEGOTIATOR SUGGESTED./ By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 8. A Sunday Express interviewer, as the result of 40 minutes’ private talk with Mr. de Valera, expresses the opinion that the misunderstanding between Britain and the Irish Free State could be removed if the British Government sent a new negotiator to Ireland, one who had not taken a hand in the previous negotiations. Mr. de Valera answered several questions for publication, but did not add anything to his known views. He claimed that the economic condition of the Free State was improving, but admitted that the agricultural community had suffered, though the suffering was not confined to one side.
