CO-ORDINATION OF SERVICES
WHITE STAR GENERAL MEETING. RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SOCIETY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Wellington, Sept. 7. Operators from all parts of New Zealand attended the first general meeting of the White Star Passenger Service of New Zealand, Incorporated, held at Wellington this Week. The society has been registered, and as a result the reconstruction of previously existing organisations with similar objects the protection and promition Of passenger service operators—has been decided on, and it has been decided to co-ordinate all passenger services interested in one organisation. The meeting approved of the action thaf had been taken, and adopted rules. The following council was elected to control the affairs of the organisation: The Hon. W. Hayward (Christchurch), chairman, Messrs. G. R. Hunter (Oamaru), G. Gibson (New Plymouth), J. Newman (Nelson), H. M. Mac Kay (Dunedin), D. Martin (Wanganui), and L. C. Ryan (Rotorua), with Mr. H. J. Knight as secretary and' treasurer.
