NEW CORPORATION LOAN
EARLY BRITISH APPLICATIONS. (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Aug. 14. A new home corporation loan was published to-day, the borrower being the city of Salford, which is issuing £1,000,000 of 3 J / 4 per cent, stock at par. Applications have already been received for £400,000. The amount available for public suhcci’iption is only £600,000, and the list of applications will open and close to-morrow. The stock will be repayable in 1964, with the option of redemption during the last ten years.
