STRANGE ARCTIC PICNIC
MOTLEY PARADE IN CANADA. LORD DUNCANNAN FETED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rec. 7 p.m. New York, Aug. 4. A message from Cameron Bay, Great Bear Lake, states that Lord Duncannon, son of the Governor-General, the Earl of Bessborough, headed a parade of a motley throng of Eskimos, Indians and paleface trappers, prosperous dog mushers, traders and mounted police in the great* est event of the year, an Arctic picnic. For the last week a cavalcade has been arriving by air, land and water. A combined Indian potlatch, or banquet, for Lord Duncannon will wind up the 48-hours’ festival inside the Arctic Circle under the midnight sun.
