DEVELOPMENT OF THE INDUSTRY.
CONFERENCE OPENED AT SYDNEY.
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10.30 p.m. Sydney, June 27. A conference opened to-day at Sydney to consider suggestion for the development of the Australian meat industry, particularly chilled beef. Every exporting State is represented, as well as shipping companies.
The conference is exploring ways and means of improving the treatment of chilled beef and the best means of getting it to customers abroad.
