RETURNED SOLDIERS CONFER
APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS. DOMINION REPRESENTATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The annual conference of the Dominion council of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association concluded to-night, when a number of matters concerning internal affairs of the organisation were discussed. The following officers were elected: Dominion president, Major-General Sir Andrew Russell; Dominion vcie-presi-dent, the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.; district vice-presidents, Messrs. S. P. Day (Auckland), B. J. Jacobs (Wellington-Nelson-Marlborough), A. H. McKane (Canter-bury-Westland), H. L. Paterson (OtagoSouthland); Dominion honorary treasurer, Mr. J. D. Harper; Dominion general committee, Messrs. A. T. Duncan, C. W. Batten, E. J. Brammall, E. F. L. Ferens, A. W. M. Ohlson; Dominion executive committee, Messrs. J. D. Harper, C. W. Batten, A. T. Duncan, D. G. Munro, H. B. Burdekin, G. T. Hall, A. Cowles, J. I. Goldsmith; South African War Veterans’ Association representative on N.Z.E.F. Canteen and Regimental Trust Funds Board, Mr. M. Aldred; representative on War Pensions Board, Mr. J. D. Harper; representative on Soldiers’ Civil Re-establishment League, Mr. H. B. Burdekin; representatives on central committee of Flock House, Messrs. B. J. Jacobs,'A. T. Duncan and A. E. Gorton; representative on the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Mr. J. Harrobin. Major-General Sir Andrew Russell was first elected president of the association in 1921.
