At the last meeting of t'he Otago branch of the Amalgamated Society ,of Railway Servants a motion was passed expressing strong disapproval of the appointment of Mr. Ward, a man of 63 years of age, to the position of deputygovernor of the Reserve Bank, thus overlooking the claims of younger and more energetic men.
