DISEASES AMONG CATTLE

. LECTURE GIVEN AT LEPPERTON. Mr. F. W. Sutton, officer in charge of the livestock division of the Agricultural Department at New Plymouth, visited Lepperton on Saturday evening and gave an address to members of the branch of the Farmers’ Union on a few of the more common diseases.affecting cattle and pigs in Taranaki. The diseases touched on included tuberculosis, Johne’s disease, milk fever, foul foot, parasitic bronchitis and parasitic gastritis among cattle, pasteurellosis, suepotifer,. necrotic and opirochoclal ulcers in pigs, etc. Subsequently a number of questions were answered. Mr. H. E. Blyde, who presided, in moving a vote of thanks, remarked that the lecture had proved exceedingly valuable. Those present were entertained at supper.
