AESCULUS WINS THE CUP

OTAKI RACE MEETING OPENS GOOD HUNTING SPRINT WINNER. SWIFT AND SURE; ALL SPIRIT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Otaki, Last Night. The weather was showery and the course sticky for the opening of the Otaki meeting yesterday. The attendance was satisfactory and the racing was good. The totalisator handled £5297, compared with £4489 10s on the first day last year. The results are:— TARARUA HACK HURDLES. Of £9O. One mile and a-half.
