SAILS FROM LOS ANGELES
AVOIDING WATERFRONT STRIKE.
MONTEREY FOR AUCKLAND.

Auckland, June 2.
The liner Monterey sailed from Los Angeles on Thursday. Owing to the waterfront strike she did not go on to San Francisco. As far as is known locally the steamers Golden Cloud and Waihemo are still delayed at Tacoma and San Francisco respectively, owing to the strike.
