MEETING AT EGMONT VILLAGE. For the purpose of introducing the aimfe and Objects of the New Zealand People’s Universities’ Association to the residents of Egmont Village, and surrdtinding districts, the committee secured aS leCturef Miss McCarthy, Wanganui, who addressed these present On Tuesday evening updii the subject of “Social Credit.” With the aid Of charts the speaker illustrated her contentions. ’ At the conclusion of the address questions Wdre invited, followed by Open discussions. Mr. H. LOdgerwodd was chairman of the meeting. ■ Mr. M. Goldsbury, vice-president of the North Taranaki branch of the association, gave details of the proposed cultural development for North Taranaki and it was announced that, at the next meeting Mr. Ledgerwood, secretary of the Y.M.C.a<, would give a travel talk.
