ADVANCES FOR ALL SHIPMENTS Agents’ week-end reports give the condition of the dairy produce market as sjow. The reports are:— Collett and Co., Ltd.: Creamery butter, finest, 70s to 71s; first, 69s to 70s; cheese, white, 42s to 435; coloured, 42s to 435. A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd. (J. and J. Lonsdale and Co.): Butter, market quiet. New Zealand, 70s; Australian, 69s and Danish 59s f.0.b., 80s landed; cheese, market slow; white, 42s 6d; coloured, 425. • ■ Anglo-Continental: Both markets are quiet. Butter, 70s; cheese, white, 425; coloured, 435. The advances for all shipments on or after May 1 will be as follows:—Creamery butter, finest grade, 6Jd; first grade, 6Jd; second grade, s|d; cheese, finest and first grade, • 31d; second grade, 3Jd. PAPER MILLS DIVIDEND. New Zealand Paper Mills Limited has advised the Stock Exchange Association that the board of directors have decided to recommend payment of a final dividend of 4 per cent., making with the interim dividend paid in November, 7 per cent, for the year ended March 31, the same as for the previous year. The dividend is payable on May 21. AHAURA GOLD. Over 200,000 contributing shares in the Upper Ahaura Gold Dredging Company Ltd., were applied for within less than a month of the issue of the prospectus on March 23, and the company went to allotment within five days. This company was formed to install a new dredge of the latest design on the virgin ground at Ahaura River, West Coast. The claim includes where the Ahaura River crosses the main North-South lead and also the drift gold of centuries from the famous Napoleon lead. This issue of shares at par represents a chance of acquiring a solid investment in alluvial gold, the most profitable type of investment in the Dominioh to-day.
