BUTTER EQUALISATION PLAN
OPERATION IN AUSTRALIA SOON. PROCLAMATION OF ACT TUESDAY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, April 27. The butter equalisation plan will operate on Tuesday, when the Federal Dairy Produce Control Act will be proclaimed. Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania will be affected by the p1...i and butter will be dearer in these four States. The increase in New South Wales will be Ijd per lb and in 4 Victoria 3d. The proportion of butter manufactured to be sold within Australia has been fixed at 45 per cent, so that the export quota will be 55 per cent, of the production. It is expected that cheese will be brought into the plan in July. With the proclamation of the Act the Paterson Piaui will lapse.
