TIMARU HARBOUR FINANCE
SMALL EXCESS OF REVENUE.
GREAT IMPROVEMENT SHOWN.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night y Reviewing the financial position of the Timaru Harbour Board to-day the chairman, Mr. G. T. Dawson, said the excess of income over expenditure in the financial year ended on September 30 last was £629, while in the corresponding period of the previous year there was an excess of expenditure oyer income of £9873. The board was thus £10,502 better off than in 1932. There was no better evidence of the working of the finances than the substantial balance. It had to be remembered the board had abolished the harbour improvement" rate and reduced other rates. , \
