MOTUROA SCHOOL
LAST MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The final meeting of the Moturoa school committee before the elections was held on Thursday night. Present: Messrs. A. H. Bensley (chairman), J. Cunningham, H. Gaylard and H. Pryce (secretary). The headmaster (Mr. W. R. Adams) reported that the attendance for the month had been seriously affected by a severe epidemic of measles. It was now back to normal. With a roll number of 176 the average attendance was 146.5. One pupil was admitted and none withdrawn. Mr. D. Mackay, senior inspector in agriculture, conducted classes. Mr. Adams suggested tjnat the school ball should be held early in the coming term. It was decided to recommend to the incoming committee that the ball should be held on the third Wednesday in June.
