CONFERENCE AT CHRISTCHURCH. ANNUAL ELECTION OF OFFICERS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, March 31. At the Alliance of Labour conference officers were elected as follows: Presi-. dent, Mr. A. Cook; vice-president, Mr. L. Glover; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J.; Roberts. The conference discussed unemployment and agreed to submit a report on the subject to the annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party starting here on Monday. CONFERENCE OF LABOUR PARTY. CHRISTCHURCH OPENING DAY. Christchurch, Last Night. The annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party will open at Christchurch to-morrow and will be attended by members of Parliament and more than 100 delegates. A preliminary open-air meeting was held this afternoon at Sydenham Park. The speakers were Messrs W. J. Jordan, M.P., R. McKeen, M.P., and W. E. Parry, M.P.
