KNOCKED DOWN BY A TRAIN
MAN KILLED NEAR PALMERSTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. A single man named Daniel O’Connell, 25 years of age, living near Seacliff, was found lying at the side of the railway line in a seriously injured condition at 2 a.m. to-day, having apparently been knocked down by a train while walking along the railway line about midnight. He was taken to Palmerston but died before he could receive attention. His injuries consisted of a fractured skull and extensive bruises.
