MEDAL FOR REAR-ADMIRAL BYRD. WIRELESS PRESENTATION MADE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 6.30 p.m. New York, March 31. A. feature of to-night’s weekly two-way broadcast to Little America was that the Columbia broadcasting system presented Rear-Admiral R. E. Byrd by proxy with a medal for outstanding service to radio broadcasting. The medal was accepted by Captain Ashley McKinley,, third in command of the first Antarctic expedition, on behalf of his associate. An audience specially invited witnessed the presentation and listened to a broadcast from Little America. Storms in the Southern Hemisphere made recep-r tion poor.
