“RAG” AT WELLINGTON STATION. “BIG HAND AND WOODEN SPOON.” By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, March 29. Auckland University students travelling to the Easter tournament at Christchurch were met at Thomdon by about 30 Victoria College students with unmusical instruments. Among those present was “Bernard Shaw,” who said he had three things to give them, “a big hand, a wooden spoon and a raspberry.” He added that he had got into “this rotten little town” and was getting out as quickly as possible.
