SOCIALIST CHILDREN AIDED. AUSTRIAN POLICE SUSPICIOUS. Vienna, March 14. A close relative of the Earl of Harewood, husband of the Princess Royal, Mrs. C. E. Waddington, and another Englishwoman, Miss E. Leacock, were detained by the Viennese police to-day while distributing money. They were on a tour of Florisdorf, the scene of the heaviest fighting in the recent revolt. The Waddington’s child attended a kindergarten in Rudolf Platz, where a teacher gave Mrs. Waddington the names of families in dire distress. The police questioned the two women for three hours and asked why they distributed money among Socialist children. Mrs. Waddington replied that charity knows no party. Later, botfc were released- " 1
