The butter market is quiet, according io advice received by Mr. E. Griffiths, New Plymouth, from his London principals, A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd. Quotations are:— ' . Butter: New Zealand finest, 73s to 74s (72s to 73s last week); firsts, 72s to 73s (71s to 725); unsalted, 72s to 73s (72s to 735). Danish, 88s to 90s (925); f.0.b., 655. Australian, 71s to 72s (71s). Cheese: The market is quiet. New Zealand white, 44s to 44s 6d (43s to 43s 6d); coloured, 44s to 44s 6d (43s to 43s 6d); Canadian, 52s to 54s (52s to 545). The Hawera office of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. has received the following cable from London: Butter, 735; market quiet. Cheese, white 445, coloured 44s to 44s 6d; market slow. . The Farmers* Co-op. Organisation • bociety of N.Z., Ltd., from its principals, Andrew Clement and Sons Ltd., dated March 29:—Markets quiet. Butter, 735; cheese, white and coloured, 445. From April 1 advances for butter will be increased to 7d, and for cheese to 3:,d.
