HAWKE CUP CRICKET
PUKEKURA PARK FIXTURE. At 10.30 this morning the Hawke Cup cricket contest between Taranaki (holder)' and Southern Hawke’s Bay (challenger) will commence. The players are:— Taranaki: W. Dormer (captain), it. Christensen, S. Betts, W. and H. Barker, A. Biggar, O. Nasmith, V. Parkinson, N. Giddy, M. Donnelly, T. Larkin and G. Moloney (12th man). Southern Hawke’s Bay: H. Bailey (captain), O. Brogan, C. Upham, H. Fredrickson, F. Grant, P. Brandon, H. Pickard, B. Armstrong, C. Grant, J. Russell, C. Raleigh and F. Carston (12th man). Mr. W. A. Pickard is the manager of the visiting team. Officials for the match are: Taranaki manager, Mr. E. L. Mason; umpires, Messrs. J. M. Thompson and P. E. Stainton; scorer, Mr. H. J. Abram.
