PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. During the week-end a team of tennis players from the Pukekura Park club played a match against Tongaporutu on the Tongaporutu courts. Owing to rain ’setting in the match*, was not finished. Park players are mentioned first in the following results: — Ladies’ doubles: Misses Webster and Medley beat Miss Fuller and Southcott gjfrs. jr. Smith and Miss Hookham lost to Mrs. Brown and Miss Kendrick I—6, Men’s doubles: Scott and Area lost to McKeon arid McMurray 3—7, Cook and C. Smith lost to O’Sullivan and Crudis 4—7. Mixed doubles: Miss Medley and Des Forges beat Miss Fuller and O’Halloran 7—3, Mrs. Smith and Crawshaw lost to Miss Kendrick and McMurray 6—7. Ladies’ singles: Mrs. Smith beat Miss Kendrick 6—3, Miss Griffiths beat Mrs. Oil ins 6—4, Miss C. Cmith beat Miss Shaw 6—l. Men’s singles: Des Forges beat O’Halloran 7—4, Cook lost to O’Sullivan 3—7. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. F. O’Sullivan have returned from a month’s holiday, in which they visited Mr. and Mrs. F. O’Sullivan, junr., Tokomaru. Mias f. Rowe spent last week-end with friends at Waitara.
