FINES AT PALMERSTON NORTH. SEVERAL MEN BEFORE COURT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. Charles Joseph Williams for frequenting a street for the purpose of betting was to-day fined £lOO. James Leonard Purves for using premises as a common gaming house was fined £lOO. Edward Nelson Baigent for frequenting a street for the purpose of betting was fined £5O. Alfred Dewar, similarly charged, was similarly fined. Charles George Wilson was fined £29 for laying totalisator Odds.
