VISIT OF HON. E. A. RANSOM
INSPECTION OF CROWN LANDS. The Minister of Lands, the Hon. E. A. Ransom, Mr. A. W. Mulligan, private secretary to the Minister, Mr. W. Robertson, Under-Secretary of Lands, and Miss Yates, of the Minister’s staff, arrived at New Plymouth by the mail train last night. The Minister was met at the station by Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., and Mr. F. H. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands, and proceeded to the Criterion Hotel, where a deputation was later received. This morning the Minister will receive deputations from the Egmont National Park Board, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Archdeacon G. H. Gavin and Mr. R. C. Hughes), and the North Committee of the Egmont National Park Board. The Minister will inspect Crown holdings at the Huatoki settlement in the afternoon.
