GATHERING AT NEW PLYMOUTH

About 70 Oddfellows from many parts of Taranaki sat down to a sumptuous spread prepared by the ladies of Pukekura Rebekah Lodge No. 56 to celebrate the seventh anniversary of their at New Plymouth on Thursday night The tables were beautifully decorated with masses of pink asters and maidenhair fem intermingled with pink and green streamers, while above the mam table hung three large gold links,. the emblem of Oddfellowship. The' main feature of the evening was the cutting of a large pink birthday cake which was beautifully made by P.G. Sis. E. Williamson. Items which were greatly appreciated were given by Bro. Bailey (guitar), Bro. A. Wright (song), Bro. Gibson (humorous item), P.G. Sis. D. Philpott (pianoforte solo) and P.G. Sis. Bleakly (humorus item). Accompaniments were played by P.G. Sis. D. Philpott. . Visitors present from other lodges .included P.G. Sister E. Little (Laurel Lodge, Auckland), Sisters Allen, Storm, Dahl, Squire, Ingram (Kiwi Rebekah Lodge, Hawera), Sisters Smith, Gilsham, Hooker, Mitchell, Webb, W. Bayliss, Wan, E. Perry, Johnstone, McNae, N; Perry, Cruden, Crocker, G. Bayliss (star of Naumai, Opunake), Bro. M. F. Foly, D.D.G.M., and Bros. Platt, Boyles, McCallum (Triumph Lodge, Stratford), and Bro. A. Robertson (Okaiawa Lodge). After the honouring of appropriate toasts the tables were cleared and dancing was enjoyed.
