SHOOTING FOR TROPHY
HANDICAP EVENT FIRED. COMPETITION AT NEW PLYMOUTH. A handicap competition for a trophy donated by Mr. George was fired by members of the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club. G. E. Putt, with a handicap of 6, scored 104 to win. With the exception of O. George, who fired on Thursday, when conditions were fairly good, all competitors fired at the Rewa Rewa range on Saturday. A strong southerly wind prevailed, and in view of that the scores were very good.
