BRITAIN’S WAR PENSIONS
OVER MILLION STILL ON LIST. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Feb. 8. Twenty years after the outbreak of war there' are still 1,107,000 persons in receipt of war pensions or allowances In Britain. The annual report of the Minister of Pensions also reveals -that since the ’ establishment of the Ministry there has - been a total approximate expenditure of £1,047,000,000 on pensions. Compared with 1932 the number cf pensioners in 1933 .shows a decline of 74,000.
