OPUNAKA
Miss Jewass has taken up her duties as district nurse at Opunake. Mrs. A. J. Farnell has returned after spending a holiday in the South Island. Mrs. C. A. Smith and Miss Norah Smith have returned from a camping holiday at Tongaporutu. Miss Anderson has returned after spending the school holidays at the Mount, Tauranga. Mrs. G. Feaver and Miss Norah Feaver are taking part in a croquet tournament at Wellington. Miss E. Cate has returned to Opunake after spending the school holidays at Wellington. Mrs. T. N. Watt, accompanied by Miss Nancy Watt, left on Monday for Hamilton. Miss Nancy Watt will attend the Waikato Diocesan School at Hamilton.
A picnic organised by the Opunake Girl Guides was held on the beach on Saturday last. Visiting guides were present from Otakeho, Normanby and Hawera, and others present were Mesdames Houston, Lovell, Buist, MisseS C. and E. Free (Hawera) and Mesdames Nicholls and Corkill (Otakeho).
