AUROA PERSONAL NOTES.
Miss Nellie Lilley is spending a holiday at Eketahuna. Mr. and Mrs. F. Greenbanks have taken up residence at Awatuna. Miss King is visiting New Plymouth. Miss Harkness has returned to Auroa after spending an interesting holiday visiting the west coast of the South Island, including a visit also to Franz Josef glacier and to Christchurch. Miss Scott has returned to Auroa from a holiday spent sight-seeing at Napier, Auckland and Rotorua. Misses Eunice and Nellie Lyndon, Nett a and Flora Duff and Myra and Rene Kirk spent an enjoyable day last week cycling and then hiking up the mountain track and doing the “round trip,” also climbing Hastie’s Hill and visiting places of interest. About twelve hours were spent in this outing, and the travellers returned home tired but thoroughly satisfied. Mrs. J. Webby, who severely poisoned her hand with a rose thorn, is now making satisfactory progress in the Hawera hospital.
