MAN KNOCKED INTO RIVER
DROWNED IN THE RANGITIKEI. FALL OF PAPA AT MANGAWEKA. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui, Last Night. J. Roy Blake, aged about 40, was working on a road near Mangaweka when he was struck on the head by a piece of papa in a fall of rock and knocked into the Rangitikei River and drowned. Len Moyle, a workmate, dived into the flooded river but was unable, to recover the body.
