FAVOURABLE TRADE BALANCE.
POSITION IN UNITED STATES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7.5 p.m. Washington, Jan. 27. The Commerce Department announces that the December exports totalled 192,000,000 dollars, an increase of 8,000,000 over November. Imports totalled 133,060,000 an increase of 4,500,000. Exports for 1933 totalled 1,675,000,000 compared with 1,611,000,000 in 1932. Imports totalled 1,448!000,000 compared with 1,322,000,000, yielding a favourable trade balance of 226,000,000 dollars.
