PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. The Rev. G. Skuse has returned from Nelson. Mrs. P. W. Thomson, who has been the guest of Mrs. A. F. Wedge, Pio Pio, returned home during the week. Mrs, W. Sutton visited Mrs. A. F. Wedge last week. Mrs. Campbell Rigg has returned from New Plymouth. Mrs. Macßean has returned from New Plymouth. She is accompanied by Miss Athene Blyde, Moturoa, who will spend a holiday with her. Miss A. Brown, New Plymouth, has been visiting Mrs. C. Tonkin. Mr. A. Marshall is visiting friends in the district. Mrs. D. Musker is visiting New Plymouth. Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P., Eltham, Professor Maxwell, Wellington, and party visited Uruti last week and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. Reid. The bachelors and spinsters of Uruti held a successful dance on Wednesday. A very representative crowd enjoyed the music played by McNeill’s novelty jazz band. Visitors were present from New Plymouth, Waitara, Tongaporutu and Pukearuhe.
