BABY CRUSHED BY LORRY
WAS LYING IN GRASS IN PARK.
TRAGIC TAURANGA ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. . Tauranga, Jan. 26. The four-month-old baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ammunson, Gate Pa, was killed in the Strand. The mother came to town and made a number of purchases, which she placed in the car. She placed the baby in the grass under a palm tree nearby. A cream lorry drove into the park and the driver was unable to see the baby, which was apparently crushed by one of the wheels. The mother picked up the baby and then fainted. The child died immediately.
