NEW HIGH COMMISSIONER
SIR JAMES PARR IN ENGLAND,
WELCOME BY NEW ZELANDERS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright London, Jan, 25. One hundred and fifty New Zealanders, led by Sir Thomas Wilford, retiring High Commissioner, gave a rousing welcome to his successor, Sir James Parr, at he Liverpool Street station. Admiral Bromley represented Mr. J. H. Thomas, Secretary for the Dominions. Twenty Pressman interviewed Sir James at New Zealand House, keenly questioning him for an hour. Sir James discussed New Zealand rehabilitation, the Central Reserve Bank, tourist attractions, and unemployment relief. Sir James added that the threatened British restriction of New Zealand dairy exports hung over the whole land. “It will hit New Zealand more severely than any other Dominion,” he said. “Dairy farmers are jnosf apprehensive.”
