NATIONAL RELIEF STRIKE
WELLINGTON TACTICS DEPLORED. COUNCIL OF UNEMPLOYED UNION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, January 26.. A meeting of delegates of the Council of the Unemployed Union passed a resolution deploring the tactics of the Wellington Relief Workers’ Union and statIng that they would take no further part in the attempt to foment a national strike of relief workers. The meeting refused to have any further dealings with the so-called united front,” as it considered the attempt . to cause a strike and alter the constitution and secretariat without the consent of the bodies affiliated was a breach of the agreement and likely to destroy possible co-operation.
