The unloading of supplies for the Byrd expedition was continued on Thursday after the Jacob Ruppert had returned to its former berth alongside the high ice flooring the Bay of Whales. A few ipiles south from ths unloading point men, dogs and tractors have pounded into the ice a smooth road four and a half miles long to Little America. Over this highway passes the ceaseless transport of dog sledges and tractors at half hourly intervals. „ The monoplane will take off for .Little America with its cabins piled with food boxes.
