MIST AND SHOWERS LIKELY
WESTERLY WINDS EXPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather for the most part will be fair to cloudy, with moderate temperatures. Some showers or misty rain are probable in western districts from Taranaki southwards, and on the coast south from Dunedin. The pressure is still high north of New Zealand. A shallow westerly depression is passing in the south. Barometers have risen over eastern Australia. Westerly winds will prevail, moderate to strong generally but still reaching gale force in places, though moderating considerably before the morning. Seas will be rough south of Cape Egmont and in the Cook and Foveaux Strait areas. Elsewhere seas will be smooth to moderate.
