COLONISATION OF PALESTINE. WORK OF THE~ ZIONIST CONGRESS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Jan. 15. Dr. Benzoin Shein, official propagandist of the World Zionist Congress, arrived at Auckland tq-day in the course of a tour in which he is explaining the aims and work of his organisation. He said that the position of the Jews in Germany now was tragic. Their one chance was to leave Germany, but there was practically no other country to which they could go. One bright spot in this tragic drama was Palestine, he continued. There was room in Palestine for all the German refugees and for the Jews of other countries. Such a great immigration must be carried on in a systematic way, and the organisation was being undertaken by the World Zionist Organisation, which appealed to all Jews, particularly. those in British countries, to rescue their unfortunate brethren, as without help they must go under. The colonisation of Palestine was proceeding rapidly, and the many cultured men who were flocking there would be a great asset. As long as there was work available immigration to Palestine would be carried on, and it appeared that a long time would elapse before the absorption point was reached.
