WOMEN’S INSTITUTES.
Motunui: Owing to everyone being busy with the harvesting there were only 15 present at the monthly meeting held in the Motunui hall. In the absence of Mrs. Greenwood, Mrs. McKay presided. The afternoon passed pleasantly with a debate on short skirts versus long skirts, and a competition which was won by Mrs. F. Bleakley. Afternoon tea 'was served by the hostesses, Mesdames W. Jonas and A. McKay. _
