TRANSPORT APPLICATION
HAMILTON-AUCKLAND SECTION. DECISION AGAINST GIBSON’S. -The application of Gibson’s Motors Ltd. for' a license for the Auckland-Hamilton section of one of the firms through New Plymouth-Auckland services has been refused by the Central Licensing Authority, according to' advice received yesterday The services to be affected are the 8 a.m. car from New Plymouth northwards and the 7.45 a.m. car from Auckland southwards. The service leaving New Plymouth for Auckland at 11 a.m. is not involved In the decision. The license for the through service affected by the latest decision was ruled against by the Transport Appeal Board on an appeal by other services, and the Same body also refused an application for a rehearing. However, the question was reopened at New Plymouth recently, when it was heard by the. Central Authority in the form of a new application op the ground that fresh material evidence was available. The Authorityreserved its decision on that occasion.
