NEAR DEBT PAYMENTS DUE
SMALL PERCENTAGE TO BE PAID.
FRENCH INTENTION TO DEFAULT.

With the exception of Finland, the war debt payments will either be covered by token payments or defaulted on the instalments due to-morrow. A total of 153,000,000 dollars is due. Finland should pay 153,000 dollars. Britain will make a 7,500,000 dollar’ token payment. Italy, from which 117,000,000 dollars is due, is expected to make a token payment of 2,134,000, and France is expected to default 22,000,000 due. Poland, Belgium and Esthonia will not make payments. . Altogether it is believed that only eight percent, of the total due will be received.
