APPOINTMENTS FOR NEW YEAR. ’ SEVERAL POSITIONS FILLED. The following teaching appointments, all to date from February 1, were made by the Taranaki Education Board at a special meeting on Saturday. Turuturu (Hawera): Head teacher, Mr. W. F. Gilligan. Arawhata: Mr. R. E. Wells (transferred from Kirihau). Hawera: Assistant mistress, Miss M. D. Patterson. Kuiakama: Assistant, Miss D. E. Calachie. Riverlea: Assistant, Miss N. S. Brown. Ohangai: .Assistant, Miss L. B. McConachie. Tokaora: Assistant, Miss K. Graham. Westown: Assistant, Miss E. H. Hawkins. Whangamomona: Assistant, Miss E. Bishop. Hawera: Infant mistress, Miss I. Macalister.
Pukengahu: Sole teacher, Miss I. G. Richards.
