That interest in the bowling matches between Waverley and Patea for the Gibson banner has not abated is shown by the fact that in this week alone two matches were played on consecutive days. Both matches were played at Waverley, Patea being unsuccessful in obtaining the banner on Wednesday but returning undaunted on Thursday to win it. Following were the scores.
