WESTOWN METHODISTS
CONCERT FOR CHURCH FUND. In an endeavour to augment the funds of the Westown Methodist Church an enjoyable concert was presented in the church on Thursday evening by the Whiteley Memorial Church choir. . The Rev. F. Copeland presided over an appreciative audience, which recalled many of the items.
Twelve part songs, several solos and elocutionary items were presented. Mr. H. C. Gatland conducted the choir in the absence of Mr. R. L. Cooper. Mr. G. H. White was at the piano. Songs were sung by Misses F. Sutherland, Gardner and Mr. R. Gilbert. Miss Betty Aylward contributed elocutionary items. Miss G. Greenwood played pianoforte solos and the accompaniments for the vocalists. Appreciation was expressed of the assistance given by the Whiteley choir and the visitors were entertained to supper after the concert
