QUEEN CARNIVAL
FINAL RESULTS TO-DAY. With an object of raising sufficient funds to pay off the debt owing on the Frankleigh Park Hall the society, in conjunction with residents of the district, has been conducting a queen carnival. The final results are to be
made known this evening and a coronation ceremony will be held in the hall on Monday at 2.30 p.m. With the closing date drawing near the several committees have been very active registering final votes by means of various events. A successful mart was conducted in Devon Street yesterday on behalf of the horticultural queen, Valmai Butt. Well laden counters of sweets, produce and fruit tempted many purchasers and brisk business was done by the committee, which consisted of Mesdames J. Wallach, N. Allen and S. Butt.
